The Sun Also Rises

20.00

Listing is for one, 1/2 ounce bottle.

In 1999 I experienced traumatic loss and despair so intense that I completely lost memory of sweeter, simpler times. During my search for healing, I wore a necklace that had a pink and gold gem at the center - the color of joy, hope and the sunrise at dawn. Each day as a meditation practice, I cultivated remembering what an unburdened heart felt like, both in body and mind. This practice was my lantern for over a year as I emerged back into life, like Persephone returning in the spring.

I crafted this flower essence constellation to hold that same experience of pure and grounded happiness, of hope reborn. The Sun Also Rises is a delicious elixir of Mimosa Tree blossoms and Tulsi leaf and flower, with Pink Poppy flower essence. Mimosa blossom comes from Albizia jullibrissin, also known as the Persian Silk tree or Mimosa, and is called the "Tree of Happiness" in traditional chinese medicine. Mimosa lifts the spirits, augments neurotransmitter secretion and regulation and is renowned for its effectiveness in treating anxiety and depression. Tulsi, also known as Holy Basil, is a delicious adaptogen (promotes general wellbeing, supporting multiple body systems) that also has an ancient history as an overall panacea. Tulsi is a queen that bestows her love over one's whole being. Pink Poppy flower essence offers remembrance of renewal and rejuvenation and brings light and freshness to where old grief or trauma may be held in the body. Reminds you of your core, original innocence and provides gentle energy to rekindle hope. Especially indicated for reenergizing the wombspace, particularly after trauma from miscarriage, abortion or painful/problematic menstruation.

Pregnant mamas: Mimosa blossom stimulates gentle blood flow and may be contraindicated in pregnancy.

Dosage suggestion: As an elixir + flower essence this is whole body/mind medicine. It is meant to be taken like a flower essence..a few drops at a time, or a single dropperful in a glass of water. Flower essences work through frequency, not quantity - if you want more of an effect, take your few drops multiple times a day. Your experience and healing can be enhanced by taking flower essences while relaxed, with intention and/or meditation.
